Students and Teachers as Stakeholders in Virtual Organization based E-learning Systems
Abstract: Traditionally, E-learning systems are built around the static educational contents and present to users (both teacher and student), a clumsy, hard to adapt environment, which leaves no room for adaptive integration of the users. User activity is restricted to the workspace and user has to adopt what is already provided. Changing IT technologies has an impact on how user is integrated in a collaborative environment. This situation leads to heavy criticism of existing E-learning systems and lack of acceptance as a supporting teaching environment. We propose a novel view of teacher, student and research student as stakeholders in Virtual Organization based E-learning system. Subject, which constitutes all form of roles a human being can carry in such a virtual organization based E-learning system, as consumer and provider of (E-learning) resources, and even as a resource itself is elaborated.
