Joint Use of SCOR and VRM
Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) and Value Reference Model (VRM) are two popular business process reference models. Practitioners have suggested integrating these frameworks for achieving maximum value from the reference models. However, there are no methods and tools available for the integration of SCOR and VRM. The goal of the research is to find similarities and patterns of differences in the aforementioned reference models. The obtained results are applied to propose blueprint of guidelines for joint use of SCOR and VRM. The paper also presents a comparison between SCOR and VRM from several perspectives, which can support a semantic realignment of processes between the categories proposed by the two management frameworks.
