Under what conditions does the pair-programming setting lead to kind of improvement in developing a game at secondary school?
Pair-programming is aimed to facilitate managing sophisticated tasks during programming by having two people tackling them collaboratively and sparking each other with ideas that can lead to the solution. In the previous research, we found out that students in 5th grade at secondary schools were satisfied with the pair setting and engaged to produce the mini-game with Unity and C# in pair-programming. Developing a mini-game in form of the pair-programming approach helped students understand the course structure and they found the course more interesting and satisfying than working alone or starting to develop a more complex game (Issaee, et.la. 2019). This paper presents the result of a survey on students from two different secondary schools (K-9) in developing a complicated game with unity software using C# programming language versus scratch as a simpler tool.
